What is SAGE?

SAGE – or Services and Advocacy for Gay (Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender) Elders – is an organization that helps LGBT people when it comes to caregiving. The organization arranges training sessions and educates people to better understand the needs of LGBT people. According to their official website, they are the largest organization of their kind. Their motto is: “We refuse to be invisible.”

What is Their Mission?

The mission is quite simple: to provide and achieve a high quality of life for LGBT elders. They try to address all the issues related to LGBT aging and support their rights. However, they do more than just that. It is also important to promote a positive image of LGBT life, so that discrimination will decrease in the following years, and they seek to achieve this as well.
